As Ashli being a bit Irish with the maiden name of O'Brien we were lucky to have had gma Brown find these awesome shirts for the boys. Not many people would think of them as Irish because its not so name obvious anymore. But here they are our supper cute pasty white little boys in their fancy new shirts.

Happy 4th Birthday Keegan!!!

We cant believe our little Keegan is 4 now. He is such a big happy boy. His 4 year check up is next friday so we will get his stats then but roughly by guess 40lbs and 41 in. He is doing amazing at his new school, he is learning so much these days. He can now say all his abc and count to 10, and tonight in his bath he was singing twinkle twinkle little star. We know he is an amazing smart kiddo he just has a hard time getting it out in ways we all understand but he is improving so much with the help of his teachers at his special school.
This morining he came out of his room ran through the streamers at the hall and jumped up and down when he saw his present from us, a brand new big kid basketball hoop.

After Ashli got off work and Keegan finished swim lessons we all got home just in time for the family to come over to celebrate. We had papa johns pizza, then hung out and played. Then opened the presents, Keegan got awesome stuff he was so excited.

Gma and Gpa got him a soccer goal for the yard and some learning practice books
Calli, Joel, Colton and Danika got him baseball bases and a basketball
from ggma and ggpa Mikkelsen a train starter set

Here is the awesome cake I made its a baseball mit and cupcakes as baseballs.mmm mmm good

Keegan Our Bus Rider Now

Well our little Keegan has now moved on up with the big boys and is riding the school bus to preschool. Today was his first day! I am so excited! I was bouncing around all morning trying to make it a fun experience for him, since I didnt know if he understood me or not since he had never ridden a bus before. He walked out like such a big kid and when we had him turn for a picture he was like gezz mom whats the big deal. Then turned around climbed right on and let the bus aid put him in his harness on the seat. I am so proud he didnt get sad or anything he just did it like he was thinking yes finally I get to ride the bus. I was waving like the giddy proud momma and he waved back at me with the look of again whats the big deal mom. I guess we will see what he thinks when he gets to do it everyday.

And here is our sad Konnor who missed his Keegan and wondered what that big yellow thing was he just climbed on and why mom was so excited about it. We then asked him where Keegan went and the second picture was his reply, notice hands up in the i dont know position.

Our little Keegan loved the bus as his teacher brought him out after school. This then became very obvious that this was his new prefered mode of travel to and from. The second he saw me and our car he dropped to the ground and said " no no no i on bus i on bus" it was so cute but also so sad. He will get to ride to school ever day but not home since I work. Either Zane will pick him up and bring him to me or I get him and we rush to be on time to work.

JJ Jump

While in Portland we went to a awesome place called JJ Jump . We went with Heather and her kids and two of their neighbor kids. We all had a great time. Keegan is and has always been our jumping master but when he found the enormous swing we found his favorite thing. He did it 4 times, the last time he even pulled the release handle himself instead of being pushed. It was so cute he couldnt reach it so he grabbed the rope and pulled himself close enough to the handle to do it alll by himself. Konnor wanted a little bit of everything, he even did the obstacle course with a little help from mom.

Christmas

We were so happy that all the kids slept in we got up all around 9. We made our yummy breakfast foods so after presents we could eat. The kids all had a lot of fun opening their presents and playing with them all. The night before all the kids got to open one present, new pajamas, our boys got matching mickey mouse pjs. Since there are all the baggage charges when flying we decided to just buy them each two things when we got there and they could get the rest here. So it was the easiest decision ever so we got them each a bat with ball and a big ball. The best part we deflated the balls flat for transportation back home. We also took some family pictures so we can update our wall of family pictures for the brown side.

Portland random picture fun

We went to Portland to visit Zanes side of the family, we were there for 17 days. We had a lot of fun. The first week there was so much snow we were pretty much house bound. As you can see in our pictures it got so deep our boys had a hard time playing in it. But no worries it rained so much in two days that it all melted. Which was hard to do seeing there was a foot of snow then an inch of ice and another foot of snow on top of that. We were really lucky Zanes sister Heather lives right next door with her family there were 4 kids for our boys to play with so that was awesome. We had a giant sleep over a few nights because Spencer and Jazi live at the bottom of the hill and they had no power, and Emilee couldnt get her car out so we picked her up before the second big storm and then walla she couldnt leave. We also got to go to a fun place called JJ Jump so much fun, we went last year too but so much more fun now that they are older, see later post for pics. We also went to visit GGBrown in Hood River it was great to get to see her, see later post for pics.

Keegan is a cub scout haha

So this video is hilarious to us. Zane is in charge of the Weblos in our ward and this was the first time he had ever done this in a year and a half so we had to make them do it again so we could have the camera. The first time he had his mouth moving along with the boys the whole time but silent.

Konnor got tubes today!

So after about 6 ear infections in 8 months we got tubes in Konnors ears this morning. He was all laughs and playing till they took him away, the anesthesiologist picked him up and ran so not to prolong the crying that they figured to be inevitable. Man they got lucky he only cried till the got to the operating room then he stopped cause he had so many new things to look at. Then he was just waking up when we got to him after his surgery. Seriously how can something that takes less than 15 minutes to do cost so stinking much, oh well its worth every penny so he doesnt have the same speach delays caused by fluid in his ears as Keegan has. Once we got to him with his paci and blanket he cuddled Zane right up and slept for 45 min then popped right up and was his happy self again. They were totally shocked they say most kids scream the whole time they are there when they arent sleeping. We laughed because thats what Keegan did when he got tubes in June of 07.

Please ignore the carpet burn on his nose. A little girl at the gym tried helping him do something and oops an ouchy followed suit. And perfect timing of year he looks like a little rudolph.

Thanksgiving Break

We had a very busy Thanksgiving weekend. My brother Heath and his family came out from Midland, sadly he could only be here for one day so we did our chirstmas exchange for the kids Thanksgiving night. We also had my gma and gpa Mikkelsen come out from Tennessee, it was so good to get to see them again.
Heres the lowdown of our busy weekend.
Thursday I worked till 10 am came home got the guys and went to Calli's house for the days activities. We had all our family thats in the area over so that was 35 people, lots of crazy fun. They had set up tvs in their bonus room for the wii and xbox360 so the kids and kid like adults could be entertained another tv for videos for the littler kiddos, they all loved it. We had lots of yummy food, thanks everyone for the delicious feast. Then after the football game was over everyone but us OBriens had left so we did your gift exchange.

Then Friday everyone came out to our house and we hung out and then went to our traditional pizza dinner, this night we chose Palios our usual lately.

Then Saturday we went back out to Calli's and we went to a holiday activity in Colleyville. There was pony rides, balloon artist, bounce houses, santa, train rides, petting zoo and more. The kids had a blast you never would have guessed it to be as cold as it was were were out in it for 3 hrs. Afterward we had my bday treats then we came home but others went to a christmas play.

Gma Wrights visit

We were lucky to have Zane's gma visit us the beginning of November. We loved having her here with us. We hadn't seen her since Keegan was Konnor's age, which means she hadn't met Konnor yet. We were so glad that our boys warmed up so fast since it was a short visit, they usually take forever to warm up to people. They were instant buddies, this gives us high hopes for Christmas when we will be in Portland for 2 weeks.

Gma, Keegan, Zane and Konnor

The boys love to play baseball on the Wii, they even got gma playing they had a blast. This is gma pitching and Keegan batting. It was so cute Keegan was showing her how to do it.

I have more pictures on my phone of them at the carousel I will try to get them on. Here they are now.

Gotta love a gma who will get on the horses with the kiddos. Its just to bad the guy running it told her she had to get down. She looked like she was having so much fun up there.
