Mario Kart for Wii

Sorry Ive been absent lately. On Monday morning we bought Mario Kart for our Wii. Let me just tell you how addicted we are. We have each already beaten over half the track cups. And the motor bike races aren't as easy as the karts, man alive I get so frustrated with it. I am the biggest sore looser there is, especially to video games. Earlier this evening after playing a few rounds and then getting blown off the cliff 3 times in a row by all the stuff they can shoot at you, I said not so nice things to Zane and tossed the wheel at him. I am horrible when I try hard and I get beat at the last second with no chance of recovery to win gold. But that is no excuse. Don't worry I'm going to go apologize to Zane in a minute. But this game is the reason nothing new has been posted this week. But I do have to give tribute to Koopa Troopa, he is my favorite little turtle man. We have this unspoken bond, if I push his buttons just right he really gets going for me. He knows just when to bob and when to weave.

What Happened Today

First off Konnor has pulled himself to standing a few times on the couch, other smaller things he has been able to pull up to for a few days. Crawling even faster to get where he wants. Especially if I leave the room he will attempt to come get me, he gets a bit tired and screams for me.

Second, I cut both of the boys hair today at home all by myself and it actually looks really good. Sadly better than most times we have taken Keegan somewhere to get it done. We were trying to keep the tv off as long as possible, because Keegan is a tv addict. So after lunch I decided lets go for it, then they got baths and where all clean for when Zane got home.

Third, I cut my finger again, a different one though. I was cleaning up my little hair mess and the broom broke in half and sliced my finger. It was metal inside with a flimsy plastic coating on it, I wouldn't have guessed it, I figured a regular plastic broom like most.

Fourth, with all those adventures and no date night in the past 2 months we decided to go to eat kinda fancy. So we got the kids in the car with all they needed to be happy at a restaurant and went to Texas Roadhouse. mmm mmm good! and we have leftover ribs for tomorrow, yippy!

That was the weirdest thing. I thought that when you copy the template code and pasted it into your blog that it was no longer linked to where you got it but I was mistaken. Im glad I didnt work hard to fix it because it only took 4 hrs for them to fix it.

Ignore the blog background

So this morning I woke up decided to check my blog and what did I find, well I'm guessing you see it too. My background and style is all out of whack. I haven't changed anything, so I check the site I got mine at and everything there looks just as weird as mine does so I'm guessing it is tied together. So bear with me while I figure it out. I don't want to change it to soon i really liked it. So we will see if it fixes itself today or not. If it looks like it did the previous with dots and stuff tell me maybe its just my computer.

Konnor wins the sick boy award

As I said before Konnor has had thrush for 3 weeks but its gone now, with just a little medicine left. Most of this week he has had goopy eyes, so I finally took him to the doctor today. They said he has pink eye and ear infections which are worse on the right side. How sad is that, the poor little guy and he has been pretty happy through it all, he is our little trooper. Odly enough he is also at the stage of almost constant teething too.

Not much happening around here

Sorry nothing big going on here. Konnor has had thrush for the past 3 weeks the first medicine didnt work the second so far looks good but its a 14 day medicine. Keegan and Konnor both have had colds and strange fevers that come and go with no other symptoms its really weird.
Oh yeah I quit my job at Carters the other week, the little the pay wasn't worth the time i was missing with my family, but hey I made 5 months there. All winter months of course.
Once its nice outside there is so much more we can do as a family. If it wasn't for the strange storms going on here, we have had tornadoes actually touch down in Allen. If it wasn't so stinking windy we could be outside having tons of fun but with winds at 20 to 30 miles an hour not much fun .


The boys love to take baths together, Konnor is Keegan's toy, he puts soap and bubbles on him, he splashes him and just makes him giggle the whole time. Konnor loves it to as you can see, they both cry when we take them out. Last Saturday we went swimming with my whole family and we all had a blast, Keegan went down the big spinning slides . Konnor just splashed and giggled, when we got out he just stared at the water the whole time the lifeguards had their break until we got back in, it was so cute.

How come its so much work just to get a picture of Keegan at least looking in the direction of the camera, in this one i had to stand in front of the tv and hold his little face . He always turns just when it takes the picture. He used to not be like this but at about 2 he decided he was gonna make us work for the pictures. I hope Konnor doesn't figure it out for a while.
Konnor is now crawling around more he still army crawls but the legs get a little work too now, he loves all the big kid toys all over the floor. He loves to chew on puzzle pieces and wood blocks.

Konnor Crawling

Konnor 9 months

So this is a little late (was march 24th) , but he just had his check up on tuesday.

Konnor on 4/1:
Weights 22lbs and 9oz = 71st%
Is 29 in tall = 69th%
has a little head = 39th%
He loves his big brothers toys.
Crawls army style to get what he wants
No longer content just to lay there and watch he now is moving all the time, especially to get out of our arms.
Has two teeth.
Loves to splash in the bath with Keegan
He loves my dad, if he sees him he crawls to him and stares at him till he picks him up.

Keegan got this swing from my aunt for his bday sadly it took us a while to get it put up for him, we finally went to lowes and got what we needed to hang it from our tree in the backyard. Keegan has always loved swinging, in cold rexburg we would go out to our complex playground and he would swing for what seemed like forever to me, always to end fussing because he didnt want to stop. Konnor loved watching so much we got him a swing too, and put it close enough we can push both boys.


This is a car we had gotten for keegan for rexburg but it was nt the easiest to lug down a flight of stairs but the best part isnt in the pic, it has a handle you put in the back so you can push them around in it. Both boys love it, surprisingly Konnor can push himself around backwards, we didnt think he could touch the ground yet but his socks told the truth.
The leapfrog toy was the hit at all the playgroups in rexburg so we finally brought it out for Konnor and Keegan was so excited it was like he was reunited with an old friend.

This little recliner is great its the perfect little kid size, one of my friends from work gave it to us her boy is to big for it. oddly enough it is a perfect match to our full size recliner. Keegan loves it and also loves to hide his toys under it.

Keegan playing peekaboo threw the play hut pop up. The other day Zane and I were thinking man Keegan is being so quiet just to see him a few minutes later dragging it out of the office for us to put up. Once Konnor saw it he got so excited he got down in the crawl position and looked at us. Like so where am i going so i can get that.

Keegan loves to lay by Konnor and its the only time he doesnt get in trouble for getting in the crib.
